Each round, players secretly choose movement cards, with shorter travelers acting first. Players visit cities and locations, choose from available encounter types such as politics, religion, or strength, then read the resulting passage and decide how to proceed. Hidden components and branching events unlock new stories across thousands of possible encounters.
