Everdell
Players lead a growing community of woodland creatures, developing a city of constructions and critters beneath ancient trees. On each turn a player either places a worker on common board locations, events, or destination cards to gather resources, draw cards, or trigger special actions; plays cards into a personal tableau of buildings and characters that produce resources, grant abilities, and score points; or prepare for the next season by retrieving workers and gaining additional ones. The game cycles through seasons, and players balance resource management, card synergies, and timing to build the most valuable city by the end of winter.

Garfield2.0 What did I miss? The tree is totally useless and doesn't make it better regarding the theme. There is not much theme in this game. There is so much luck, especially the starting hand. We were 3 players, 2 of us had bad luck with the starting hand (no combos), the other player had luck and could make many combos and played much longer in the first phase than the other 2 did. So it was already clear who will win even before we entered spring phase... The main thing is about to get cards which will get you ressources and matching buildings with creatures. If you can't get those you're out. No chance against other who can build such combos. And building those is pure luck. The cards look nice, but that doesn't make a good game. And it's a multiplayer solitaire par excellence! Nobody cares what the other do. Rules questions
Answered from the rulebook by Ludoya's rules assistant.
Can I do more than one action on my turn (for example place a worker and also play a card)?
No — on your turn you may take only one action: Place a Worker, Play a Card, or Prepare for Season; play proceeds clockwise with one action per turn (page 8).
When I Prepare for Season do my workers come back, and when do I get the new seasonal workers/bonuses?
When you Prepare for Season you alone retrieve all your deployed workers, then gain the new workers and the season’s listed bonus (spring: +1 worker and activate green Production; summer: +1 worker and may draw up to 2 Meadow; autumn: +2 workers and activate green Production) (pages 12–13).
If I play a Critter for free because I have its related Construction, do I pay anything and what is the occupied token for?
You may play that Critter without paying the listed cost, but you must place an occupied token on the related Construction when you do so — each Construction can be used this way only once (page 10).
Do Event cards count toward my 15‑card city limit?
No — your city has a maximum of 15 card spaces for played cards, and Event cards you achieve are placed beside your city and do not count against the 15‑card limit (page 11).
Can other players place workers on my Destination cards, and what happens if they do?
Yes — opponents may place a worker on Destination cards that show the OPEN symbol; when they visit a Destination in your city the owner gains 1 point token from the supply (page 9).
