Aquatica
Players command underwater kingdoms in a family-friendly engine builder where the goal is to score the most victory points by capturing and buying locations, recruiting characters, and completing objectives. On each turn, players play cards from hand—each card offers a unique set of actions—and chain them together to perform long action sequences. A three-layered player board and a card-rising mechanic represent exploration, resource recovery from the depths, and deployment of mysterious ocean creatures to the hand. Players balance tableau building, location control, and goal pursuit as they develop engines and expand their realm beneath the waves.

Panos8.0 I would only recommend the game at 3 players if you have the arcane wonders edition because it has a limited pool of character cards. Game is certainly fun and has a satisfactory combo mechanism. Update: The first expansion cold waters addresses most of my concerns and certainly elevates this game to a higher ranking.
