Gravwell: Escape from the 9th Dimension

Use gravity—and your opponent’s ships—to escape a black hole before time runs out. Players draft fuel cards and use them to move their ships toward or away from the nearest object, often causing unexpected changes in direction. Cards are revealed and resolved in alphabetical order, while a limited Emergency Stop can halt a dangerous move. The first ship to reach the warp gate wins; if no ship escapes after six rounds, the closest ship wins.

Somehow chaotic racing game. Too chaotic. If you can count/remember cards, you will win. But for 99,99% of the people this is just a totally random racing game. I guess this will be my third game that I will throw away... Very clever filler game where you move your spaceship in relationship to the closest object to you. Gets more chaotic with more players, but that's honestly half the fun. Each round players draft cards that are one faceup and one facedown, and the cards all have different movement speeds and types, so there's this nice tension in trying to deduce what sorts of movements your opponents are capable of. Predict it right and you'll get rocketed ahead of everyone else, predict it wrong and you'll be hurled backwards, which can cause a chain reaction if you suddenly become the closest object to one of your opponent's ships. ★ Art, Iconography and components functional ★ Clever or interesting mechanisms ★ Reasonably low downtime between turns with mildly AP players ☆ Multiple plays stay interesting ★ Low or mitigatable luck elements ★★★☆☆ Raw enjoyment

This game brings 6 takes (6 nimt) to another level of crazy random good times. I wish it played a few more players but it is a great 30 minute game for casual gamers and works as a filler too!
