2003 · Abstract Strategy
Linja
Two players each begin with six pawns in their own base and one pawn occupying each of the six central spaces between bases. Play proceeds in turns: a player first advances one pawn a single space toward the opponent’s base, then may move any one of their pawns additional spaces equal to the number of pawns that occupied the space the first pawn moved into. The objective is to place pawns into the opponent’s home base or, failing that, to get pawns as close to it as possible. The game ends when the two sets of pawns have passed one another on the board. Components are colored wooden pawns and simple sticks used to mark the lanes.
