2014 · Card Game
Pairs
A light push-your-luck card game about avoiding pairs. Players are dealt one face-up card and take turns as the active player, choosing to draw another card or forfeit the round. If a drawn card matches any card the active player already has, the round ends and that player takes one matching card as penalty points while everyone else discards their visible cards. If the active player forfeits, they take the lowest visible card as a penalty. Penalty cards accumulate; exceeding a preset threshold ends the game and that player loses. The game uses a 55-card deck with increasing duplicates (one 1, two 2s, three 3s, …, ten 10s) and supports many variant rule sets and themed editions.
