Speakeasy
Play as a Prohibition-era mobster running a network of illicit drinking establishments across Manhattan. Use worker placement and card management to hire goons, recruit outside mobsters, upgrade speakeasies and casinos, and deliver contraband liquor while avoiding or influencing the police. Players attack or rob rum-runners, cook the books to stash untaxed cash, and pursue district goals to earn income and infamy. The game focuses on resource allocation, area control, and timing as players jockey for influence under Lucky Luciano’s system and try to accumulate the most money by the end of the game.

Rules questions
Answered from the rulebook by Ludoya's rules assistant.
Do Cops shut down Mobster speakeasies or only player buildings?
Mobster Speakeasies are not affected by Cops; Cops can prevent player buildings from operating unless that building is protected by a Family Member (see pages 11 and 4).
How do I calculate my building's defense strength in a Mob War?
A building's defense strength = your Strength level + 1 per Goon you return + any Associate Mobster strength you pay for; defenders decide per building in turn order and modifiers apply only to the building being defended (see pages 9–10).
Who controls a district for Lucky Luciano payouts — how do ties and the building hierarchy work?
Control goes to the player with the best Operating building with a Family Member taking priority; ties for best operating building mean all tied players control the district, otherwise the best operating building controls, using the hierarchy Family Member > Casino > Nightclub > Speakeasy > Stills > Mobster Speakeasy (see pages 10–11).
Can I push Operations or Strength to level 5 by discarding cards, and what happens to Infamy?
You may increase Operations up to level 5 and Strength up to level 5 by discarding the required Operations cards as specified, and each time you increase an Operation or Strength you immediately increase your Infamy by the same amount (see page 12).
Can I spend money from my safe directly or do I have to launder it?
Money in your safe must be laundered at a 2:1 ratio to withdraw it into spendable cash; Luciano payouts and Cooked Books place money into your safe (see page 21).
If I have multiple buildings in the same district, do I defend them all at once during a Mob War?
You must defend each of your buildings in the district separately (deciding for each in turn order), and any building you fail to defend is removed and replaced by a Mobster Speakeasy (see pages 9 and 21).
