Veracruz 1631

Players act as New World merchants loading gold, silver, corn and cacao into three 17th-century galleons while managing private investments and the King's mail. On each turn a player either places a face-down bet on whether a chosen galleon will reach port or sink, or loads the ship with boxes that shift its balance and reveal goods tied to the player's secret investment. A meteorology value at game end determines whether a galleon’s imbalance causes it to sink. The game combines hand management, hidden betting and tactical loading as players pursue profit while avoiding lost cargo.
