Day Night Z

Players control a small band of survivors scavenging a post-apocalyptic city for supplies, recruits and equipment while managing wounds, stress and infection. Gameplay alternates between an Adventure Phase of exploring a modular city and interior location tiles, a Travel Phase of moving back to the refuge with loot while facing encounters, and a Refuge Phase of base management, healing, crafting and defending against raids. A day–night cycle and a rising Threat counter change zombie behavior and trigger special encounters; characters have attributes, abilities and inventories that degrade or consume resources over time, and allies can join or abandon the group depending on player choices.
