Command officers, units, and armies in historical or fictional battles set during the 18th century, managing their personalities and fortunes across wars and decades. Action cards activate forces and modify their orders, allowing units to march, rally, charge, bombard, or fire volleys. Players alternate turns, balancing the distance between commanders and forces against the cards required to issue orders. Interrupts can disrupt opposing actions, while army morale determines the outcome before nightfall or the deck runs out.
