Paths of Glory

Players recreate the strategic and operational decisions of the Great War across Europe and the Near East, commanding either the Central Powers or the Entente. The map covers fronts from the Western trenches to the Balkans, Poland and the Middle East, and combats, national declines, and political events unfold through a card-driven system. Each turn players play cards into a sequence of sub-phases, using them for operational movement, strategic redeployment, special events, or replacements, while managing limited hand resources. Unit counters, combat resolution and campaign timing interact with card choices to determine fronts, offensives and the war’s political consequences.
