Players compete to gather cubes, then fulfill contracts to get the most points before the game timer runs out. This is done through choosing and advancing around one of three different roundels, each with a somewhat different array of actions. Players buy new tiles for their player mats to build out their ships, activate abilities on their sets of asymmetric crews, produce cubes, deliver cubes, and activate their gear tiles for their special abilities.
