A two-player asymmetric card-driven duel between a lone German raider and the British Royal Navy cruisers in the South Atlantic during September 1939. The German player uses a hidden-movement and combat deck to intercept and sink merchant ships while avoiding detection; the British player uses search and pursuit cards to locate and bring the raider to a decisive surface action. Victory conditions differ: the German side wins by sinking a set number of freighters undetected, while the British win by finding and engaging the raider, with the lesser-damaged side after the final battle prevailing.
