Sekigahara: The Unification of Japan

Recreate the 1600 campaign as the commander of rival coalitions vying to unify Japan. Players recruit and move block armies across a point-to-point map, manage castle control and resources, and play cards that represent daimyo motivation and loyalty. Armies only fight when matched by appropriate cards; hand size (legitimacy) and revealed Loyalty Challenge cards determine potential defections and shifting allegiances. Combat uses card-driven resolution rather than dice, with hidden unit stacks and concealed loyalty factors producing bluff, surprises, and quick but tense battles. Each turn represents one week, forcing choices between dispersed objectives, sieges, and mobile operations over a seven‑week campaign.
