Batman: Gotham City Strategy Game

Gioca nei panni di uno dei più grandi criminali di Gotham City e guida una banda di scagnozzi. Raccogli informazioni, denaro e minacce per controllare i quartieri della città, ottenere entrate, ingaggiare scagnozzi e aumentare il livello di combattimento del tuo criminale. Le carte Complotto Criminale generano entrate o evocano Batman, che può affrontare i criminali e ristabilire l'ordine. Il primo giocatore a raggiungere il livello di combattimento più alto vince, ottenendo abilità uniche lungo il percorso.

This game isn't terrible, but it has a lot of problems. Lots of rules, cards and tokens are unclear. We had to look up a lot on BGG. I feels like the game had never been blind playtested. The miniatures have those terrible click bases, which means there's information you need that's really hard for any player to see as it's in that tiny window on the click base. The game works out to sort of be this area majority game, where you do your best to line yourself up to "level up" by collecting however much of the thing you need, or by controlling a certain number of areas at the start of your turn. Every so often a batman card will come along and hinder your progress in a somewhat frustrating way. This mostly just serves to extend the game a little too long.
