Charlie's Year

This game covers the Jacobite rising of 1745–1746, as Charles Edward Stuart’s forces challenge the government of George II during the War of the Austrian Succession. The campaign follows the Jacobite advance through Scotland and into England, the retreat from Derby, and the eventual confrontations at Falkirk and Culloden. Players direct the opposing forces across a map of Britain, managing armies, movement, battles, political support, and the effects of French involvement. The outcome determines whether the Stuart cause survives or the government reasserts control over Scotland.
