Players use a 36-card deck of emotional archetypes—love, joy, sadness, fury, indecision and others—that carry positive or negative values. Each round players play tricks, manage cards in hand, and score or lose points as emotrions interact. The game runs on simple, consistent rules that support multiple variants and a winner’s-option mechanic to shift the balance between strategy, psychology and luck. With few components, players explore tactical choices about when to pursue short-term gains versus long-term positioning, and different play styles can be encouraged by rule tweaks. The theme frames card play as a metaphor for managing emotions and interpersonal outcomes, rewarding consideration of broader consequences beyond individual tricks.
