In questo gioco strategico per 2–4 giocatori, ogni giocatore guida diversi animali antropomorfi durante la migrazione verso un nuovo continente. A turno, i giocatori piazzano pedine Animale come città; ogni nuova città generalmente ha origine da quella piazzata più di recente. Ogni animale possiede un’abilità unica, creando diverse possibilità tattiche. La partita termina quando non sono più possibili mosse legali e i giocatori guadagnano punti per le città presenti sul tabellone. Questa edizione include il gioco originale e un secondo libro con le carte Età, un draft opzionale, un tabellone modulare, ulteriori modificatori del terreno e sei nuovi tipi di esploratori.

Migration is a quick playing abstract game in the tradition of Hive, where game pieces have special abilities that determine their movement and placement around the board. The idea is, each player wants to have the most pieces faceup on the small hex board at the end of the game. This is done by playing secretly selected pieces from your hand, following that piece's placement rules. There are big hint cards for each piece to remind you of their abilities, and then the game is over before you know it. I'm enjoying how fresh each match feels, as you have a different map, and can select a different array of pieces to use. ★ Art, Iconography and components functional ★ Clever or interesting mechanisms ★ Reasonably low downtime between turns with mildly AP players ☆ Multiple plays stay interesting ★ Low or mitigatable luck elements ★★☆☆☆ Raw enjoyment
