Across the Potomac

Wargame simulation of the 1863 Gettysburg campaign of the American Civil War. Players command the Confederate and Union armies, with the Union command changing from Hooker to Meade during the campaign. A double-blind system gives each player a separate hidden map, while cavalry and pickets search for opposing forces. Movement depends on command points generated by leader quality, and victory comes from destroying enemy units and capturing or defending key terrain. Scenarios include the main campaign, the Great Invasion, and Lee vs. Meade, with optional rules for rain, bridge burning, naval movement, and changes in command.
