Anomaly
Three students fight to survive against an unknown entity that learns and adapts to their every move. One player controls the Anomaly, while the others work together as Students to locate and destroy it. This hidden-movement, deduction, and combat game uses player screens to conceal positions. Students share a health pool, signal their locations with hint cards, destroy the Anomaly’s fuel sources, and use improvised weapons and abilities. Each ability card they play passes to the Anomaly, unlocking opposing powers such as Possess and Teleport. The game ends when either side’s health is depleted.

Ben Bishop8.9 A great double blind hidden movement all against one game. One of the best of this genera. The student players work together to defeat the anomaly player. They do so by moving around on their private boards but signalling what type of space they moved from and to. This helps the other student players know where they all may be. Of course the anomaly acts between every student. The twist is that students can accidentally hurt each other if the anomaly is not in the attacked area but other students are. How do students act you may ask? They can discard a card from their hand to do a basic action (move or ping - ask if the anomaly is on the space matching where they are or were) but must give the card to the anomaly player if they want to do the special action on the card. This means that when the student player wants to attack, set a trap, or other necessary actions they are giving the anomaly player more abilities. This is the movie 'Alien' in a board game. A game of cat and mouse' hide and seek where the anomaly gets more powerful because it is underestimated.
