Black Seas: Spanish Navy Fleet

The Spanish Navy enters the Age of Sail as a powerful but inconsistent force, fighting across Europe, the Caribbean, and South America. Its shifting alliances bring it into conflict with Britain as well as cooperation against common enemies. In play, Spanish fleets can field heavily armed 1st Rates with the Over Gunned upgrade at no cost, adding extra cannons to each broadside. These ships have reduced mobility, must pass a test to move at full sails, and cannot be crewed by veterans. Veteran crews on other vessels cost more, requiring careful fleet selection and tactical use of powerful opening broadsides.
