The Confederate player attempts to overwhelm Hooker’s unsuspecting army, while the Union player regroups, holds the Chancellor House, and counterattacks Lee’s outnumbered forces. The game uses an accessible, old-fashioned beer-and-pretzels system without detailed command, control, or supply rules. Players maneuver formations and resolve combat in a streamlined adaptation of the intermediate system from Avalon Hill’s Gettysburg.
