Chartres

Players take the role of noble houses in 13th-century Chartres while the cathedral is being built. Over three decades (rounds), each player selects two cards from their hand each turn, using one to trigger abilities on previously played cards and the other for immediate actions. Actions include assigning assistants to locations, acquiring horses and carts, harvesting grapes and filling wine barrels, and crafting stained-glass windows. Improving status yields reputation, expands hand size, and enhances the value of future actions. Influence earned through reputation and accomplishments determines the winner at the end of the game.
