In August 1813, Napoleon’s rebuilt French army faces the Allied Coalition around Dresden after the armistice ends. Players command corps across a map where each hex represents about one kilometer, making operational decisions over turns covering roughly 3.5 daylight hours or 10 hours at night. The game uses movement, combat, random events, and exclusive rules covering the campaign’s distinctive conditions. Standard and optional rules support a detailed simulation of the battle, with the French seeking to preserve their central position and the Allies attempting to break Napoleon’s dominance in Germany.
