Conquer shorter enemy stacks and construct buildings across varied terrain to score victory points. Move, regroup, attack, or build during the action phase, sacrificing pieces when constructing and optionally taking an extra action. Captured Emperors are worth points, while their stacks can overcome equal-sized enemy groups. Reinforce stacks from reserve during the second phase, unless opposing buildings prevent placement. The game ends when a player has a palace and 12 points from villages, towers, castles, and captured Emperors, or when only one player has pieces remaining on the board.
