Set in Mega-City One, a vast and dangerous city on the eastern seaboard of 22nd-century America, the game focuses on the Judges who enforce the law in a society without police, trials, or juries. Players take the roles of highly trained street judges, investigating crimes, pursuing criminals, making arrests, and passing sentences under the city’s strict legal system. Adventures take place amid the overcrowded city’s constant disorder, where serious crimes occur every second and judges must rely on discipline, aggression, and instant judgment.
