MAGUS NOVATUS

Players take the role of novice wizards competing to impress the school by casting spells. Spells are completed by correctly mixing potion ingredients and using magical items, while dice introduce chance and some effects cause unexpected disruptions. Players collect Spell cards worth 2–4 points based on difficulty; the highest total at the end wins. The game supports 2–4 players, plays in about 30 minutes, and uses cards, a die, and a measuring-cylinder marker to track play.
