War in the Wind: The Battle of Attu Island, 1943

Fight the weather, geography and Japanese defenders to recapture this Alaskan island in 1943. This low-to-moderate complexity wargame covers the month-long battle, with American forces dealing with severe conditions, difficult terrain and logistical challenges while Japanese forces use the environment to resist superior numbers. The campaign is played over daily turns with platoon- to company-sized units. Three shorter scenarios focus on separate phases of the battle, supporting solitaire and multiplayer play.
