A Zone of Influence/Zone of Control system shifts units between march and battle formations as they approach the enemy. Differential combat accounts for unit quality, terrain, supporting forces, and artillery, while campaign rules add logistics and attrition to operations from Spotsylvania to Cold Harbor.
