Boże Igrzysko

Players represent leading magnate families in the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth from roughly 1400 to the late 18th century. Each player allocates noble followers across provinces and the national army to raise private troops, contest local assemblies, develop estates and pursue political influence at court. Play proceeds over four long turns in which border powers menace specific regions; players launch offensives against those enemies, roll for enemy reinforcements, and suffer territorial losses if invasions succeed. Income from latifundia, recruitment of private and Cossack forces, urban and estate development, and military prestige all contribute to a family’s accumulated prestige, and the highest prestige wins.
