Players cooperate as a team of heroes exploring a frozen fortress full of rooms, monsters and a final boss. The game uses unique sliding d4 dice and a square-themed target board where players aim throws to resolve attacks, movements and special effects. Turns involve preparing dice, choosing targets on the board, and resolving hits or misses against monsters and hazards while managing hero abilities and equipment. The edition offers standalone scenarios with different rooms, enemies and bosses, streamlined rules, and variable dice and target mechanics that change the feel of each playthrough.
