Game of Goose

A traditional roll-and-move racing game played on a consecutively numbered spiral track, typically ending on space 63. Players advance pieces by rolling one or two dice and follow instructions printed on special spaces: landing on a goose grants another move of the same distance, bridges and shortcuts transfer pieces ahead, while penalty spaces force setbacks, skipped turns, or even return to start. The board combines simple luck-driven movement with predetermined rewards and punishments tied to board icons, making progression and reversal central to play. The design appears in many themed and historical editions and is suitable for young family play.
