Players are Perceivers who explore the surrounding lands, gather resources, and develop a walled city while confronting restless Specters from ancient civilizations. Play proceeds over three seasons (each with three rounds); on a turn a player moves across tiles to collect resources, build structures, and use Action Tokens to chase away or communicate with Specters. Returning to the city tile allows selling goods for Pecunia, learning skills, and increasing available Action Tokens. The game is competitive for 2–4 players and scores Valor at the end; the highest Valor determines the winner.
