Inflection Point: The Battle for Kalach and the Battle of Chir

A battalion-level wargame that recreates two linked 1942 clashes on the southern Russian steppes: the July engagements that led toward Stalingrad and the December actions along the Chir River. Players command German and Soviet formations, maneuvering infantry, armor and support units across maps that feature rivers, balkas and low hills. The system models changing combat capability between the armies, air supply for German forces, and command effects on Soviet stubbornness. Multiple scenarios cover the Battle for Kalach, the entry of tank armies, Chir River fighting and smaller offensives, with turn-based movement, combat and tactical decision points for both attackers and defenders.
