Bezkrólewie

After the king dies without an heir, a time of anarchy and power struggles begins as rival nobles seek to establish a new dynasty. Players gather subjects and send them to one of five fiefs, using their skills to gain silver and prestige. After twelve short rounds, the player with the most money and prestige wins.

I played some of the prototype and the public demo versions. It's a surprisingly tight set-collection game that will have you swear at the wrong draw at the right time or at your opponents messing up your otherwise perfect setup with a nasty "frontstab" (because you'll see it coming, trust me), but if you manage to come out on top, you'll feel great. Very easy to understand and play (don't expect Byzantine combo mechanics that require a PhD to plan), but rather tricky to master (pesky opponents taking away all the cards I need, argh!). As the title suggests, the perfect game to play between sessions of Glory: A Game of Knights (or vice versa).
