Players deploy their personal forces onto a shared board, aiming to place all of their pieces first. Each piece has a distinct ability, such as stronger attacks, long-range attacks, or increased resistance, but only the most recently placed piece affects the current board situation. Careful positioning can exile opposing pieces, although exiled forces may return and remove others in turn. A neutral piece occupies the space left by the last exiled piece to prevent repeated cycles. Terrain effects and scenario rules add further variation.
