Root: The Homeland Expansion
Adds three new factions—the Lilypad Diaspora, the Twilight Council, and the Knaves of the Deepwood—plus two new mapboards (Marsh and Gorge). The Lilypad Diaspora settles and trains warriors while balancing security and the risk of escalating reprisals; their play centers on mobilization and managing shifting hostility. The Twilight Council pursues victory through assemblies and political influence, using edicts to alter incentives and manipulate opponents rather than relying solely on force. The Knaves of the Deepwood conduct raids, capture enemy warriors as hostages, and profit from ransom and pillage, favoring hit-and-run tactics and disruption.

Fiore2,0 What a bloated mess. Expansion doesn't mean "more complexity", especially when it adds nothing to the game but convoluted rules and mechanics that spoil the joy of playing because you have to spend minutes over a stupid checklist to understand what you have to do, how you have to do it, without understanding its function in the game. I think I have enough of these "expansions".

Does a Peaceful frog enclave make the clearing only frog-suited?
No. A Peaceful enclave adds frog as an additional suit, while a Militant enclave covers the clearing’s printed suit and makes it only frog-suited. When crafting there with a Peaceful enclave, use either frog or the printed suit, not both (p. 2).
When I Provoke, do I discard a frog card too—and how do I choose it?
Yes: Provoke ends with a random discard, and frog cards are included. Randomize your hand without looking, such as by shuffling it under the table (p. 4).
Can I Integrate more than once, or score for frog clearings?
No. You may Integrate only once per turn, spending one card to score 1 point per Peaceful enclave in clearings matching that card’s suit; you cannot score the frog suit (p. 5).
What can an enemy do at a Governing assembly?
Enemies there cannot craft with, flip, place, take, or remove pieces, except in battle. The Council scores from Governing assemblies in clearings containing enemy buildings or tokens (pp. 8, 11).
When my Knave Captain hits warriors in battle, do I remove them or take them as Prisoners?
When your Captain attacks a faction, take one defending warrior you hit as a Prisoner and move it to an adjacent forest with no Prisoners; remove any other warriors you hit normally. Prisoners score separately from acclaim in Evening (p. 13; scoring on p. 15).
