Players cooperate as a band of samurai defending a village from waves of bandits and bosses. Play proceeds over a series of rounds in which players draw enemy cards and then choose actions: engage an enemy, defend the village, or let an enemy pass to aid a teammate. Choices trade short-term protection for longer-term personal power as samurai can unlock stronger “beast” abilities by fighting. The game tracks damaged farms and fallen civilians; the group wins by preserving at least one farm and enough farmers while surviving the final lieutenant and boss encounters. Team coordination and risk management determine the outcome.
