The Grimwood

Players take on varied characters who have become lost in a haunted forest and search a communal deck for animals, settings, supernaturals, and special items. On a turn a player draws from the deck or steals from another hand, may activate a supernatural power or use a Rune, then places a combo into their tableau. Combos score by type: animal sets, matched settings, or collections of supernaturals; some combinations grant more points while single supernaturals score modestly. Powers allow help or sabotage, and Amulets or Runes grant extra actions or protection. The game proceeds until the deck is exhausted, and the highest-scoring collection wins.
