The Headlines Game

Players compete to write newspaper-style headlines under time pressure. Each round supplies four letters and a theme; players have about three minutes to craft as many headlines as they can whose words begin with the given letters in order and that fit the theme. An Editor judges submissions for relevance and originality, awards a token to the chosen headline, and becomes the next Editor. Rounds penalize missed or incorrect entries; variants add different theme types (regular topics, prefixes, tongue-twisters, Editor’s Choice), alternate player counts, team play, or five-word headlines.
