The Pocket at Falaise

Two German armies struggle to escape annihilation as Allied forces close the Falaise Pocket in Normandy. Players command German and Allied formations during the final phase of the campaign, with the retreating Germans forced to attack while the advancing Allies try to contain the breakout. A chit-pull activation system reflects the confusion and lack of coordination of the battle. Battalion- to brigade-sized units operate on a map covering the area around the Orne and Dives rivers, with play spanning twelve-hour turns. Solitaire rules are included.
