Carcassonne: 20th Anniversary Edition

Players build a medieval southern French landscape by drawing and placing square tiles that feature cities, roads, cloisters, and fields, matching edges so features connect logically. After placing a tile, a player may deploy one meeple to claim a feature as a knight (city), robber (road), monk (cloister), or farmer (field); completed features score points and returned meeples become available again. Turns are quick and focused on placement and meeple-management decisions, balancing expansion of one’s own projects with opportunities to block or join opponents’ features. This edition combines the base tiles with several small expansions and themed artwork, and remains compatible with other sets.
