Players advance along a spiritual path by recruiting devotees, building and upgrading temples, and placing monks to perform actions. On a turn, a player selects a devotee at the torii and sends them to a temple to trigger resource gains or temple-specific effects, or moves monks into the mountains to chain additional actions and progress on the spiritual track. Construction and placement decisions influence access to resources and abilities, and contributing to the central pagoda and attracting the wisest monks helps push a player further along the path. The player farthest along the spiritual path at game end wins.
