Bookmaker

Players act as bookmakers and bettors in a series of horse races. Each race uses face-up and hidden race cards to provide information about which horses are more likely to move. Two bookmakers set odds for the four horses, while the other players place bets with one or both bookmakers. Cards are then revealed one at a time, moving the matching horses along the track; winning bets are paid according to the posted odds. Players may take credit during a race, repaying it with interest later. After each player has served as bookmaker the same number of times, the player with the most money wins. Variant rules add wild cards, a bet on the nag, and disqualified horses.
