Cthulhu: A Deck Building Game

Players cooperate as investigators confronting an awakening Elder God and its minions, balancing research and combat to survive. Each round splits into a planning phase—players activate cards, acquire new cards from Miskatonic University to improve their personal decks, and ready resources—and a combat phase where the Elder God and minions attack investigators’ health and sanity. Players spend Moxie (a resource representing nerve and determination) to deal damage, banish enemies, or resist insanity. Victory occurs if the investigators reduce the Elder God’s health to zero before all investigators are eliminated; resource management between researching and fighting is central to success.
