Terrible Swift Swordfish

A solitaire simulation of the Royal Navy’s attack on the Regia Marina at Taranto during the night of November 11–12, 1940. The player launches two waves of carrier-based Swordfish biplanes, assigning torpedoes against Italian ships and bombs against port facilities. Damage is determined by drawing chits, while flak is resolved with dice. As additional aircraft follow their designated bombing runs, Italian defenses become more coordinated and dangerous. Victory Points come from sinking ships and damaging facilities while preserving the attacking biplanes.
