This game examines the final field battle of the 1777 New York Campaign through three scenarios: the historical fight for Chatterton Hill, a hypothetical October 31 assault, and a four-day campaign covering 42 turns from October 28 to October 31. Players command Washington’s American army or Howe’s British forces while managing terrain, weather, morale, militia limitations, sortie restrictions, fieldworks, and off-board movement from Tarrytown. Opportunity Cards add variability and historical flavor, while special rules reflect the battle’s distinctive conditions and randomize Washington’s early-war combat ability.
