Players command opposing forces in a tactical simulation of the 1777 campaign around Bemis Heights. One side tries to break through prepared American positions or maneuver around exposed flanks; the other holds high ground, sorties into the woods, and manages internal command tensions. Turns resolve movement, combat and fog-of-war effects while players allocate units (including Hessian contingents), position artillery, and commit officers whose cooperation or rivalry affects battlefield performance. Scenarios recreate historical choices and terrain, with outcomes driven by maneuver, timing and force employment rather than hidden victory conditions.
