Players position their boats in spaces allowed by drawn cards, aiming to form part of a team that surrounds and captures another boat. The Flying Dutchman can move to more spaces but disappears when a capture is made. Players may also take the role of principal deal-maker, collecting more money at the end of the game while paying the surrounding boats, making timing an important consideration.
