Trenton 1776

This American Revolution campaign follows Washington’s retreat across New Jersey, his refuge behind the Delaware River, and the winter battles that reverse his fortunes. Players command either Washington’s Continental forces or the British army under General Howe, seeking to cross the frozen river, capture Philadelphia, and defeat the opposing army. A full campaign covers the entire operation, while shorter scenarios recreate the surprise attack on Trenton and the battles of Trenton and Princeton. Wooden blocks represent units and create fog of war, with rotations tracking losses during combat. The rules are accessible, and games take two hours or less.
